Bridgewater Historical Society

The Bridgewater Historical Society was organized in 1992 to promote, preserve and make available to the public the history, documents, and artifacts that are a part of the Town of Bridgewater.

The repository for these artifacts is the Union Station located at 9685 on historic US Route 20 in the village.

The renovated and restored station services two railroads; The Delaware, Lackawanna, and Western railroad as well as the Unadilla Valley railroad. On May 8th, 2006, the station was placed on the New York State, as wellas the National Registers of Historic Places.

Historical Society meetings are held on the second Monday of every month at 7:00pm. From May-October, meetings are held at the Union Station. From November-April meetings are held at the Bridgewater Municipal Meeting Room.

For more information on visiting hours at the station, or for membership questions, please call: 315-822-6652 or 315-822-6214
